HOWLITE

Melbourne band Howlite craft elemental, cinematic dreamscapes, marrying trip-hop with pop songwriting to create a sound that is entirely their own. They released their debut EP Reasons in 2016, and followed it up with a string of singles “Reykavik”, “Gothic Romance”, “Saviour” and “Orchestra” that garnered acclaim from Rolling Stone Australia, Mushroom and spins from Triple J and U.S college radio. Off the back of these releases, the band were invited to play at Canadian Music Week last year, where they performed at famed venue the Horseshoe Tavern.

Their latest single, the atmospheric and languid Reducer, is the first taste from their forthcoming EP Not Here. Recorded earlier this year at The Alamo studios the single manages to be the perfect representation of the EP’s downbeat, otherworldly pop. The track was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday in Germany and Switzerland, and was added to their coveted Fresh Finds playlist.
